Clark County sheriff’s deputies arrested two Vancouver residents Tuesday in connection to an armed robbery at a Hazel Dell convenience store.

A clerk at 7-Eleven, 6212 N.E. Highway 99, called 911 at about 11:40 p.m. Monday to report an armed robbery involving two men wearing dark ski masks had just occurred, Clark County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Fred Neiman said.

The men, one of whom was armed with a handgun while the other was armed with what was described as a large butcher knife, demanded cash from the clerk, Neiman said.

The clerk gave the men an undisclosed amount of cash and the two suspects ran from the store.

Deputies searched and canvased the area and located two people who matched the description of the suspect, Neiman said.

Emllio Jesus Ibarra-Donley, 21, of Vancouver was arrested on suspicion of first-degree robbery and booked into the Clark County Jail early Tuesday. A 17-year-old male, whose name was not released by the sheriff’s office, was also arrested on the same charge and taken to the juvenile detention center.
