With the Hilanders clinging to a 3-0 lead at halftime, the offense found its stride and added three touchdowns in the second half. The defense collected an interception, forced two fumbles and allowed just 33 total yards in the second half.

After a soggy first quarter that saw Kelso run only six plays and punt twice, the Hilanders scored on four of its final five possessions.

A.J. Hoggatt found Emmitt Kinch in the end zone to extend the lead after the break. Max McDaniel ran 31 yards later for another touchdown in the third quarter.

On a double handoff, Riley Noah passed 36 yards to a wide-open Caden Silva for the final score.

Kelso converted each of its three fourth-down attempts. McDaniel rushed for 64 yards on eight carries in the second half.
