Vancouver police officers on Thursday arrested Fontella Hooper, 30, of Vancouver on suspicion of two counts of vehicular assault in connection with a suspected impaired driving crash that seriously injured two people Wednesday night.

Hooper, the other driver, and the other driver’s passenger were all hospitalized following the crash, the police said. The crash was reported around 7 p.m. on East Fourth Plain Boulevard near the P Street intersection.

The police did not identify the other motorists, but said both remained in the hospital Thursday, and that the vehicle’s passenger suffered possible life-threatening injuries.

The police said investigators think driver impairment may have been a factor in the crash.
