Letter: Toll idea is misguided

By Keith E. Waudby, Vancouver

If they go through with this ridiculous and unfair toll on the two bridges and all the money going to Oregon, why don’t we set up another toll on the Washington side and collect all the money for Washington? See what they would think about that.

How could they possibly think that would ease congestion? It would stop most people in Vancouver from shopping in Oregon and would turn Jantzen Beach into a ghost town. It would be different if the money was going to an additional bridge in a new location (like around Camas) but it seems all they want to do is steal money from hard-working people in Washington to fix Oregon roads. We are already paying unfair Oregon state taxes on our paychecks with no benefits. Quit stealing from Washington — enough is enough. Do something to get this out before it is too late!
