HOOD RIVER, ORE. – Orbital, an Australian company that designs and makes propulsion systems for unmanned aerial vehicles, announced this week that it will be heading to the industry hotbed in Hood River, Ore.

The company signed a lease on a new 26,000-square-foot plant that will put Orbital within arm’s reach of Insitu, a customer and one of the biggest UAV makers in the world, based across the river in Bingen.

Orbital is leasing the space for $160,000 per year.

A spokesperson for Orbital said they will start recruiting talent to staff the new facility in January, and expect to be fully moved in by February.
