Community members interested in learning more about Vancouver Lake’s ecology and ways to volunteer and recreate at the lake can find out more at an upcoming open house.
The free event will be 5 to 7 p.m. April 13 at the Water Resources Education Center, 4600 S.E. Columbia Way, Vancouver.
During the open house, people can sign up for stewardship events, learn about Buckmire Slough and other habitat improvement projects. There also will be information about rowing and other recreation activities.
