Letter: Don’t support the overeager

I have filled out and mailed my ballot for the primary election — I don’t like vote-by-mail, but it’s what we have.

I did not vote for Anne McEnerny-Ogle for mayor. To be sure, her positions on issues appear to be not much different from boilerplate we get from all the candidates but, no, I had a particular reason for excluding her. It is this: her first campaign signs appeared less than three days after the general election in November. I am generally wary of politicians who seem to want the office too badly. That seemed to be the case here, so my vote went elsewhere.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
