Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler, R-Battle Ground, came home, schmoozed her constituency, then returned to D.C. to continue the promotion of her big-business agenda. Want proof? Just check her voting record from last week.

HB 806 to extend the deadline for states to adopt stricter standards under the Clean Air Act from 2017 to 2025. Beutler voted “Yes.” Big Business 1, We the People 0.

Protections for vulnerable populations — Prevent 806 from taking full effect if the health of specified vulnerable populations would be affected. Herrera Beutler voted “No.” Big Business 1, We the People 0.

Natural gas pipeline permits — Sets tight deadlines for federal agencies to review applications for permits. Herrera Beutler voted “Yes.” Big business 1, We the People 0.

HB2883 — Remove requirement that the president approve cross international border energy pipelines. Herrera Beutler voted “Yes.” Big Business 1, We the People 0.

American-made iron and steel — Requires any pipelines built as a result of HB2883 use American-made iron and steel. Herrera Beutler voted “No.” Big Business 1, We the People 0. And this was in “Made in America” week.

Herrera Beutler’s colors are clear. For the week — Big business 5, We the People 0. We deserve better.
