It was reported on Monday that the Republicans in Congress were celebrating again (“GOP leaders reverse 14 Obama regulations,” Associated Press).
This time it is because they have undone President Obama’s regulations that protected waterways from coal mines’ waste, required contractors to disclose violations of 14 labor laws when bidding on contracts, and imposed restrictions on what broadband companies could do with your personal information.
The Republicans apparently think it’s good to allow more pollution for profit, for contractors to cheat their workers, and for your personal information be used by corporations as they see fit. This is the kind of actions Republicans are proud of — working to destroy our environment and selling your personal data.
