Prep highlights: Washougal’s Pullen races to course record

Washougal’s Amelia Pullen set a course record in winning a five-team meet at William Clark Park in Washougal on Wednesday.

Pullen raced through the 5,000-meter course in 19 minutes, 48 seconds, helping Washougal to wins over Columbia River and Mark Morris.

Stars of the day

• Kellen Bringhurst, Ridgefield boys golf, shot a 1-over-par 73 to win an 18-hole match with Columbia River at Tri-Mountain.

• Kara Noftsker, Columbia River girls swimming, won the 100 butterfly and 500 freestyle in a meet at Propsra Aquatic Center.

• Miles Bethel, Ridgefield boys cross country, won a 2A GSHL dual meet race against Hockinson, finishing in 18:40 over 5,000 meters at Alberbrook Park.
