Nonleague Football: Heritage 34, Benson (Ore.) 14

Four of the Timberwolves five touchdowns came through the air as Michael Taras ended the night with over 200 yards passing and almost 300 all-purpose yards.

The Wolves’ defense was also rock solid, intercepting the ball three times and coming away with a safety.

Taras passed for 247 yards and rushed for 32. Robert Meadors had five catches for 124 yards and two touchdowns.

Benson never seemed to capitalize on offense. Promising drives were shut down by way of the interception and both of their quarterbacks just couldn’t seem to hit the mark. Both of Benson’s touchdown passes came on balls that were tipped by the intended target, but caught by a nearby receiver.

Heritage advances to 3-3 on the year and will take on the Camas Papermakers next week.
