As letter-writer Ray Gilbert “thanks God” for patriots Donald Trump and Mike Pence (“Thank God for Trump, Pence,” Oct. 15, Our Readers’ Views), neither of whom served in the military, I am hopeful he doesn’t bump his head as he rises from kneeling after showing his respect to the Almighty.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
