No one was hurt when a pickup with a trailer loaded with two cars tipped over while trying to turn onto state Highway 14 on Thursday afternoon.

According to the Washington State Patrol, Daniel Dean, 49, of Portland was heading north on Interstate 205 and taking the ramp to Highway 14 westbound around 4:45 p.m.

The state patrol said Dean’s truck and fifth-wheel trailer couldn’t negotiate a corner, and it slid into the ramp’s left shoulder. The truck tipped to the left and came to a stop on the barrier, blocking part of the road.

Dean was not hurt, the state patrol said.

Troopers said excessive speed and an improperly loaded trailer caused the crash. Dean was cited for second-degree negligent driving and operating a commercial vehicle without a proper license.
