No one was hurt when a woman drove her SUV into the lower floor of a home in the Ogden neighborhood early Monday evening, but what happened is still under investigation.

Police and fire crews were called to a condominium at Northeast 86th Avenue and Northeast Burton Road around 5:20 p.m., after a woman drove her SUV inside a building there.

Vancouver police Sgt. Pat Johns said officers learned the woman was stopped in a kind of cul-de-sac or parking area near the condo before she, for some reason, hit the accelerator.

“Made a garage door out of it,” Johns said.

The sole occupant at the time was upstairs during the crash, and neither person was injured, he said.

The driver did not appear to be impaired, Johns said, but officers were still investigating. The woman had not yet been cited, he said.
