Camas police officers on Monday arrested the third suspect in an alleged robbery during a drug deal earlier this month.

The police said officers were first called early morning Jan. 15 for a report of some kind of disturbance in the 400 block of Northeast 35th Avenue, near Lacamas Park and Round Lake.

They arrived to find two people at the scene: the victim and another young man later identified as a suspect. The other two fled in a vehicle before police arrived.

The police said officers learned a 17-year-old boy had assaulted the 18-year-old victim during a drug deal, and also threatened him with a firearm before stealing the young man’s money and drugs.

The victim suffered minor injuries, the police said. The gun was not fired, and no one required emergency medical treatment.

Soon after the robbery, officers identified and arrested Camas residents Edward H. Rog and Cody W. Williams, both 18, on suspicion of first-degree robbery, the police said.

On Monday, officers located the 17-year-old boy, also of Camas, at the Motel 6 in Vancouver. The Vancouver police and county regional SWAT team took him into custody without incident, the Camas police said, and booked him into the county juvenile detention center on suspicion of first-degree robbery and second-degree assault.
