The Showtime College Prep baseball team of Vancouver lost for the first time Monday at the 17th annual 18U WWBA National Championship in Cartersville, Ga.
Showtime fell 5-1 to Team Elite 17U Prime of Winder, Ga., in pool play. Showtime scored its only run in the seventh inning and had six hits.
Showtime is in third place at 3-1-1 in its eight-team pool with two games to play. The top team advances to single-elimination bracket play on Thursday.
There are 56 teams in this tournament that is taking place outside of Atlanta.
