Girls basketball roundup: Camas opens Lakeridge tournament with blow out win

Reagan Jamison scored 16 points as the Camas Papermakers girls basketball team opened play at the Lakeridge Holiday Classic with a 69-23 win over Churchill on Monday at Lakeridge High School.

Addison Harris added 14 points as Camas (7-1) had little trouble with Churchill (0-7), a Class 5A school from Eugene, Ore.

Camas led 49-10 at halftime.

BATTLE GROUND 24, NORTH SALEM 20 — Ella Horst scored 14 points as the Tigers (3-6) beat North Salem in the consolation bracket of the Nike Interstate Shootout at Lake Oswego.

Horst had eight of Battle Ground’s 10 points in the second quarter of the low-scoring game.

MOUNTAIN VIEW 80, CENTRALIA 31 — Mylee Thompson and Camaria Brown each scored 14 points as the Thunder earned a non-league road win.

Four Mountain View players scored in double-figures. That included Layla Senderson, who scored 11 points and hit two 3-pointers in the first quarter as the Thunder raced to a 25-6 lead.

Mountain View (8-1) made 12 3-pointers and held Centralia (0-7) to four points in the third quarter.

MARK MORRIS 40, FORT VANCOUVER 36 — Natalie Mejia scored 13 points and the Monarchs held on for a 2A GSHL road win.

Trian Clark scored 16 points for Fort Vancouver.
