Police are looking for the victim’s boyfriend after a family member arrived at a home in Camas on Sunday to find a woman’s body.

Camas Police Department spokeswoman Officer Debra Riedl said a family member arrived at a home in the 2100 block of Northeast Everett Street around 1:30 p.m. and found the woman’s body.

The police identified the woman as Luz Guitron, 35.

There were signs of a struggle inside the house, police said, and investigators believe someone attacked and killed Guitron.

The Camas police identified Guillermo Juarez, 38, as a suspect. Juarez and Guitron have been dating for several years and have a child in common, according to police.

Juarez has fled the area, police said, but the department says there’s no immediate threat to the public.

The department added that police thought a 6-year-old child was also missing in connection with the investigation, but that child and other children related to the family are safe and with other family members.

That block of Everett Street was cordoned off to traffic for the investigation. The Washougal Police Department and regional major crimes unit were assisting the Camas police.
