Vancouver firefighters were dispatched to an electrical fire early Monday morning at Clark College.
Vancouver Fire Department got its initial call about 5:03 a.m., reporting the fire at 1933 Fort Vancouver Way.
The college said in a tweet that there was a small electric fire on the roof of the Culinary Institute.
Penguin Union Building and the attached Gaiser Hall on the college’s main campus in Vancouver “may smell a bit smoky for a bit,” the tweet said. Exhaust fans were being used to clear the air from the Culinary Institute at about 7 a.m.
No classes were canceled because of the fire.
Building inspectors were looking over the damage.
There was a small electrical fire on the roof of the Culinary Institute this morning. It’s out and inspectors are investigating the scene. No classes are canceled & we expect all college functions to operate as normal, except possibly food service.
