A grassfire that erupted earlier this evening near Woodland created a traffic logjam on southbound Interstate 5 tonight as firefighters fought to control the blaze.
According to the Washington state Department of Transportation, the fire started about 4:37 p.m. near Horseshoe Lake Park. The right southbound lane was blocked at one point.
WSDOT reported the blocked lane cleared an hour later but traffic is still moving slowly in the area.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
