All northbound lanes of the Interstate 5 Bridge will be closed from 11 p.m. Saturday to 7 a.m. Sunday for the bridge’s biennial inspection.
The sidewalk on the northbound span will also be closed; the southbound span’s sidewalk will remain open.
Washington-bound traffic should plan to take the Interstate 205 Bridge.
During the closure, a team will inspect the bridge’s most critical steel members to ensure the structure remains sound. Crews will also replace traffic control lights.
