Prior to Washougal’s “Coaches Vs. Cancer” game, the Panthers gave bouquets of flowers and honored three women fighting cancer: Mary Howard, left, Katie Stevens, center, and Melissa Franco, right,  on Thursday, Jan. 25, 2024, at Washougal High School. Stevens, a former Washougal High student and girls basketball player, was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2022. Howard and Franco, both Washougal residents, are cancer survivors.
