Top national honors in creative metal construction were awarded this month to Vancouver’s Alan Webb Mazda Dealership for its newly completed showroom off state Highway 500 and Andresen Road.

The $2.1 million project was selected as the No. 1 metal building from 50 entries received by industry publication Metal Construction News, which chose the Mazda facility for its attention-grabbing details, such as bright green metal accents that transition from outside to inside walls and frame an elevated glass display case for showroom vehicles.

The structure’s exterior and interior walls mix a combination of metal finishes, installed both vertically and horizontally throughout the building.

The building was designed by Vancouver-based Architects Associative and constructed by Vancouver’s RSV Construction Services Inc.
