Published: April 16, 2010, 12:00am

How will digital innovations like Kindle or the iPad impact public libraries?

It’s the topic of next week’s Forum at the Library event. “Trends in digital literature, library services and design” is scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday in the Community Room of the Clark Public Utilities building, 1200 Fort Vancouver Way.

Karen Ford, librarian for the main Vancouver Community Library, will moderate a panel that includes Dene Grigar, director and associate professor of the Digital Technology & Culture program at Washington State University Vancouver; Bruce Ziegman, Fort Vancouver Regional Library District executive director; and Ruth Coates, principal at The Miller Hull Partnership, the architecture firm that designed Vancouver’s new downtown library building now under construction.
