Clark County Fire & Rescue was called to a report of smoke coming from a shop in the La Center area Tuesday afternoon.

Firefighters cut their way inside and held damage mostly to a motor home that was heavily damaged inside.

Firefighters were called to 4018 N.E. 379th St. at 3:43 p.m. and arrived seven minutes later to find smoke coming from the shop, said Capt. David Greenwood.

No one was home, so firefighters cut their way through a door. The motor home was in flames and smoke filled the shop, he said.

Several other vehicles, including a couple of antique ones, were saved. The fire also caused limited damage to the building near the motor home, Greenwood said.

The cause and dollar damage estimate were not immediately available.

The property is owned by Connie Jean Schultz, according to county records.
