OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) — Oklahoma Republican Sen. Tom Coburn has endorsed GOP candidate Dino Rossi in Washington state’s Senate race.
Rossi is a former state senator and two-time gubernatorial runner-up. He’s hoping to unseat three-term Democratic Sen. Patty Murray in the fall.
Republicans Clint Didier and Paul Akers also are in the race.
Murray and Rossi are expected to advance in next week’s “top two” primary, which lists all candidates on the same statewide ballot regardless of party. The two biggest vote-getters move on to the general election.
