EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) — The Minnesota Vikings have acquired receiver Greg Camarillo from the Miami Dolphins in exchange for cornerback Benny Sapp.

Sapp’s agent tweeted Wednesday that his client was headed to Miami. A person with knowledge of the deal confirmed to The Associated Press that the Dolphins were trading Camarillo to the Vikings in return. The person requested anonymity because neither team has made an official announcement.

The Vikings are banged up at receiver. Pro Bowler Sidney Rice will miss at least the first half of the season after having hip surgery Monday, and Percy Harvin has practiced little in the preseason because of recurring migraines.

The Vikings also signed veteran Javon Walker on Tuesday.
