BALTIMORE (AP) — Shane Walker scored 22 points and had 10 rebounds to lead Loyola (Md.) to a 65-42 victory over Mount St. Mary’s on Saturday.
It was the fifth double-double of Walker’s career. Jamal Barney added 10 points to surpass the 1,000-point milestone for his career and help the Greyhounds (4-5) snap a three-game losing streak.
Loyola never trailed and built an 18-4 lead on Robert Olson’s layup with 12:58 left in the first half. The Greyhounds extended the advantage to 48-30 when Erik Etherly converted a three-point play with 13:35 to play in the game.
Loyola shot 50 percent from the field (13 of 26) in the first half and 48.9 percent (23 of 47) for the game.
