Morris leads Michigan past NC Central 64-44

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) — Darius Morris scored 12 points and Tim Hardaway Jr. had 11 as Michigan beat North Carolina Central 64-44 on Tuesday night.

Evan Smotrycz added 10 points for the Wolverines (8-2), who have won five straight.

Landon Clement lead the Eagles (4-5) with 15 points.

Michigan was just 8 of 29 from 3-point range and shot 41.1 percent overall.

North Carolina Central made only 14-of-46 shots and had just four assists in its lowest-scoring game of the season.

The Wolverines led 23-19 at halftime.
