EVERETT, Wash. (AP) — A 20-year-old man is under arrest in connection with the killing of his father at a South Everett mobile home.

Snohomish County Sheriff’s officials say Nicholas J. Becktell has been booked into the Snohomish County jail for investigation of second-degree murder.

Sheriff’s deputies originally said the 50-year-old victim was killed during an altercation with his son at Village Green Mobile Home Park.

Lt. Kathi Lang says the son told investigators he struck his father during an argument and the older man collapsed and stopped breathing. His name has not been released.

Authorities say at least four people were present when the argument began.
