The Blackstone American Grill restaurant closed this month and the space it was in is for lease in east Vancouver.

In the former Bacchus restaurant site, Blackstone originally opened at 3200 S.E. 164th Ave. in July 2007, offering an upscale atmosphere and cuisine. By the end of 2007, financial troubles caused investors to lease the Blackstone space and concept to Portland-based restaurant chain, Urban Restaurants Inc.

It is unclear why Urban Restaurants Inc. closed the site, part of the 35,000-square-foot South View Center retail complex. The 7,200-square-foot restaurant space is being marketed by Pam Lindloff of NAI Norris Beggs & Simpson’s Vancouver office.
