WINSTON, Ore. (AP) — Oregon State Police say one person was killed and two were seriously injured Monday when a dump truck collided with a small pickup outside the southern Oregon town of Winston.
Investigators say 22-year-old Kaila Boyer of Riddle was killed. She was a passenger in the pickup. The pickup driver, 23-year-old Jesse W. James of Riddle, was seriously injured. He was taken to a hospital in Portland. Both were wearing seat belts.
The driver of the dump truck, 58-year-old Dudley Lenhart of Tenmile, was also seriously injured and taken to a hospital in Springfield.
