Player of the year

Taylor Williams, sr., Camas: Whether with his arm or his bat, Williams was the leader of the team that finished second in the state.

Rest of All-Region team

Skye Adams, sr. Columbia River: First-team, all-league pitcher was one of 16 seniors on a state final four team.

David Anderson, sr., Columbia River: First baseman joined teammate Adams on the coaches’ all-state team.

Clint Coulter, so., Union: Playing a demanding position, catcher, and still brought the bat. Coaches picked him for all-state, too.

Leko Galusha, sr., Union: First-team, all-league pitcher in toughest league in the state; was clutch in Union’s first long postseason run.

Logan Grindy, jr., Camas: Yet another Clark County selectee to the all-state team; scored winning run in epic state semifinal victory over River.

Alex Foulon, sr., Heritage: Made first team 4A GSHL as an infielder with a bat that would not quit, and also was a strong pitcher for the Timberwolves.

Casey Sawyer, sr., Hockinson: Name co-MVP of the Class 2A Greater St. Helens League. Another quality pitcher with a strong bat.

Tommy Thorpe, jr., Evergreen: Simple equation: If Thorpe was on the mound, the Plainsmen were probably going to win; 4A GSHL player of the year.

Kody Watts, jr., Skyview: Storm’s ace made first-team, all-league and also got picked for coaches’ all-state team.

Caleb Whalen, jr., Union: 3A GSHL coaches had Union’s shortstop as second-best player in the league in their all-state voting.

Kurt Yinger, jr., Camas: Another all-leaguer as an infielder who also was a solid pitcher. One of seven 3A GSHL players to make all-state team.
