Word Association wins at Hollywood Park

INGLEWOOD, Calif. (AP) — Word Association defeated Shesoprovocative by 334 lengths to win the $40,000 feature Thursday on opening night of the Autumn meet at Hollywood Park.

Ridden by Patrick Valenzuela, Word Association covered 612 furlongs on the synthetic cushion Track in 1:15.95 and paid $3.20, $2.10 and $2.10 as the wagering favorite.

Shesoprovocative returned $3.40 and $2.60, while Bonita Montana paid $3.20 to show.

The victory increased Word Association’s career earnings to $90,160.
