Parks and Recreation scholarship reduced

Due to decreased funding, Vancouver-Clark Parks and Recreation will restrict its Everybody Plays! Recreation Scholarship Program in 2011 to youth and Access to Recreation program participants only.

Beginning in January, the scholarship program will no longer offset costs for adult and senior programs or community center passes.

Qualified families may receive $40 per child (up to $160) for any program offered for youth. Participants in Access to Recreation will have the same benefit.

The Everybody Plays! Recreation Scholarship program depends upon grants and donors, and is facilitated through the Parks Foundation of Clark County.

Anyone wishing to know more about how to help the Everybody Plays! Recreation Scholarship Program may contact Cheri Martin at 360-619-1170, cheri.martin@parksfoundation.us or visit www.parksfoundation.us.
