Breathoffreshheir, Loving Dove win at Monmouth

OCEANPORT, N.J. (AP) — Breathoffreshheir and Loving Dove used strong stretch runs to win their divisions of the $70,000 Jersey Juveniles Stakes at Monmouth Park on Saturday.

In the filly division, Breathoffreshheir took the lead halfway through and held off Ima Jersey Girl by 2 lengths. Ridden by C. H. Marquez Jr. and trained by Ben Perkins, Breathoffreshheir paid $4.40, $2.60 and $2.20.

In the colts and geldings division, Loving Dove rallied from far back to overtake Porcini Prince in the stretch and post a 112-length victory. Trained by Gregg Sacco and ridden by Elvis Trujillo, Loving Dove paid $10.40, $3.80 and $3.

Both winners covered 6 furlongs over the fast track in 1:11.
