Lehigh pulls away from Wagner 73-57

BETHLEHEM, Pa. (AP) — C.J. McCollum scored 20 points and Gabe Knutson added 13 as Lehigh pulled away from Wagner 73-57 on Monday night.

The Mountain Hawks (1-1) led 40-35 at halftime, but distanced themselves in the second half by outscoring the Seahawks (1-1) by a 33-22 margin.

Wagner was able to keep things close thanks to 9-of-22 (40.9 percent) shooting from 3-point range.

The Seahawks allowed Lehigh to shoot 21 of 42 (50 percent) from the field and committed 31 fouls, sending the Mountain Hawks to the free-throw line 44 times.

Tyler Murray led the way on the offensive end for the Seahawks with 18 points on 7-of-11 (63.6 percent) shooting. Danny Mundweiler added 13 points for Wagner, which shot 18 of 50 (36 percent) from the field.

Rob Keefer added 10 points for the Mountain Hawks and was the only other player in double figures.
