Poni Colada wins Monmouth feature

OCEANPORT, N.J. (AP) — Poni Colada took the lead at the top of the stretch and beat Pound Foolish by 134 lengths Sunday in the $55,000 allowance feature at Monmouth Park.

Trained by Steve Asmussen and ridden by Paco Lopez, the 5-year-old Poni Colada ran 1 1-16 miles in 1:44 2-5 and paid $3.60, $2.80 and $2.10. Poni Colada has 11th wins in 27 starts, with earnings of $348,196.

Pound Foolish returned $5.60 and $4.20, and Hermosillo paid $4.80 to show.
