RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Richmond quarterback Aaron Corp will miss the remainder of the season after sustaining a left knee injury in the Spiders’ loss at New Hampshire on Saturday.

The school has not released details about Corp’s injury, but says he will have surgery this week. He was injured on Richmond’s first offensive series Saturday in a game the Spiders (2-3) went on to lose 17-0.

The Southern Cal transfer beat out sophomore John Laub for the starting job this spring, and Laub also was unavailable on Saturday as he recovers from an injury to his left wrist.

Laub remains out, and punter Nick Hicks will start at quarterback this week when Richmond visits Colonial Athletic Association rival Massachusetts. Hicks was a quarterback in high school.
