Pedestrian killed on I-5 at Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Police say a pedestrian has been struck by one or more vehicles and killed on Interstate 5 in Portland just south of the Marquam Bridge.

Police received a report of a person down in the roadway at about 2:45 a.m. Monday, and officers found the body.

Southbound I-5 traffic is diverted to Highway 43 during the death investigation.

The highway was reopened shortly after 6 a.m.
