DENVER (AP) — Hall of Famer John Elway is playing in his first senior golf tournament since turning 50 earlier this year.

Elway made the turn at the HealthOne Colorado Senior Open at even-par Wednesday after a blunder on the seventh hole, where he played the wrong ball and ended up with a triple-bogey.

Elway said his left knee, which he had replaced 212 years ago, was feeling great. He is competing against 155 other amateur and professional golfers at the Green Valley Ranch Golf Club this weekend.

The two-time Super Bowl winner has started to get back into football, too, agreeing to help market the Denver Broncos’ game in London next month.
