KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. (AP) — A 22-year-old Oregon woman has been charged with manslaughter in the deaths of a California couple in a head-on collision.

The Klamath County district attorney’s office said Friday that Carrie Ames was also charged with driving under the influence of intoxicants and with assault for injuries to a child and a teenager.

Oregon State Police identified the victims killed in the Thursday night crash as 66-year-old Don Barton and his 63-year-old wife, Donna Barton, of Dorris, Calif.

The accident critically injured their great-grandson, 6-year-old Daba Phillips, also of Dorris.
