FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) — The Patriots have activated running back Danny Woodhead for Sunday’s game against the Buffalo Bills, his first time in uniform since he was released by the New York Jets and signed by New England before Week 2.

Woodhead helps give the Patriots depth after the season-ending injury to Kevin Faulk.

Inactive for the Patriots are defensive linemen Brandon Deaderick and Kyle Love, offensive linemen Steve Maneri and Quinn Ojinnaka, linebacker Dane Fletcher, wide receiver Taylor Price and cornerback Terrence Wheatley.

The inactive Bills are linebackers Paul Posluszny and Antonio Coleman, safety Cary Harris, offensive linemen Jamon Meredith and Ed Wang, and defensive linemen Alex Carrington and John McCargo. Brian Brohm is the third quarterback.
