CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — Patriots cornerback Aqib Talib and running back Shane Vereen are active for Monday night’s game against the Carolina Panthers.

Talib missed the past three games with a hip injury. Vereen was activated from the short-term injured reserve before the game after suffering a broken wrist in New England’s season-opening victory against Buffalo.

Inactive for the Patriots are running backs Leon Washington and Brandon Bolden, safety Steve Gregory, cornerback Alfonzo Dennard, linebacker Steve Beauharnais, offensive lineman Chris Barker and defensive end Jake Bequette.

For Carolina, linebacker Chase Blackburn, guard Chris Scott and tight end Ben Hartsock were ruled out earlier in the week with injuries. The other inactive players include running back Kenjon Barner, wide receivers Marvin McNutt and Tavarres King and defensive end Frank Alexander.
