Woman who fell into Spokane River presumed drowned

SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — Spokane police presume a woman who was seen falling into the Spokane River has drowned.

The search continued Tuesday for the woman who has not been identified.

A witness called police about 7 p.m. Monday after watching a woman who was walking a dog slip and land in the fast-moving water.

She’s described as a white woman in her mid-30s with long black hair.
