Published: April 19, 2011, 12:00am

Clark County Public Health will host two public forums to gather input on its comprehensive growth management plan.

The county is updating its 20-year growth plan that includes strategies to promote and protect health.

Residents who attend will be asked to consider questions about how far they have to travel to get fresh fruits and vegetables, and whether parks where people can exercise are near their homes.

The forums are:

• 5 to 7 p.m. April 27 at the Battle Ground Community Center, 912 E. Main St., Battle Ground.

• 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. May 25 at the Vancouver Housing Authority, 2500 Main St., Vancouver.

For more information, contact Brendon Haggerty, 360-397-8000, ext. 7281, or growinghealthier@clark.wa.gov, or visit http://www.clark.wa.gov/public-health/living/growinghealthier.html.
