Milton-Freewater man wounded in hunting accident

WALLA WALLA, Wash. (AP) — The Umatilla County sheriff’s office says a Milton-Freewater man was accidentally shot in the back while turkey hunting with a friend near Weston.

Deputies told the Union-Bulletin that 41-year-old Justin Warne was alert and able to walk Wednesday night when his hunting partner took him to meet an ambulance on the way to Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Walla Walla.
