Fisher-Mill Plain — The Humane Society for Southwest Washington hosted nearly 30 Clark County sheriffs officials, family and friends, as well as Humane Society staff, during a brief ceremony to accept a memorial plaque honoring the life of fallen K-9 officer Kane. The plaque was commissioned by the Clark County sheriff reserves. The Humane Society was chosen as an ideal place for the memorial. The plaque was presented to Humane Society Executive Director Chuck Tourtillott by Clark County Sheriff Reserve Association President Debora Wonderly “to honor the life of Kane and all those before him,” she said.
