NYON, Switzerland (AP) — UEFA has kicked Greek club Volos out of the Europa League because of its involvement in a match-fixing scandal.

Volos was scheduled to face Paris Saint-Germain in a playoff tie on Aug. 18 and 25.

UEFA says its disciplinary committee banned Volos from European competitions for an additional three years “deferred for a probationary period of five seasons.”

Volos can appeal the decision by Monday — three days before the playoff matchups.

UEFA did not say which team would replace Volos, which beat Luxembourg’s Differdange 6-0 on aggregate in the third qualifying round.
