YAMHILL, Ore. (AP) — Firefighters called to respond to smoke in a Willamette Valley field found a person lying in the grass, suffering from burns.

Every fire department in Yamhill and Washington counties responded to the four-alarm fire and had it under control by 2:45 p.m. Saturday.

The Gaston Rural Fire District has not yet identified the person who suffered burns or given the person’s gender. The person was taken to a regional burn center by air ambulance.

State and local investigators are seeking a cause of the fire.
